Sherry is a dynamic leader at NBWC. She brings her great gift of singing and leadership to offer a wonderful worship experience. Her heart’s desire is to help others experience the presence of God through worship. Along with her excellent team of musicians and singers, the church has some of the best music around. You’ll find that NBWC utilizes a blended model of songs. Sunday mornings are more modern, while other service times have a mix of styles. The primary objective in all we do is to honor and serve God.
Pastoral Leadership Team Member: Steve Woods
Steve and his wife Janey are amazing assets to the ministry and vision of NBWC. Steve serves in many capacities, including teaching one of the most vibrant small groups in the church. He is a trusted leader in the church, working closely beside the Lead Pastor to help facilitate that vision. His lovely wife, Janey serves as part of the worship team, and in many other ways in the life of the church. Their love for God is contagious!
Youth Pastor: Courtney Trusty
Courtney is one of the most popular people in the church. She is adored by the High School aged youth. Along side her team of Youth Leaders she ensures that the youth have an outlet to share thoughts and ideas. They take several trips each year. They have a volleyball team, drama team, and a youth worship team. The Word of God is taught in a practical and vibrant way. Your high school child will grow in fellowship and faith.
Assistant Youth Pastor: Braxton Whitaker
Braxton and his lovely wife, Kelli are new to the staff at NBWC. They bring great enthusiasm to the youth group. He serves in several capacities, including teaching life skills (i.e. budgeting, bill paying, tithing, etc.) for those who are college and career age. He is a very talented guitarist and singer. His wife Kelli serves as our High School small group teacher on Sunday mornings at 9:45am.

She is typically the first person to greet you on Sunday mornings. Diana’s smile is contagious. Her love for people is evident. She leads a team of nearly 30 greeters to ensure that each person that enters the church feels loved and comfortable. Come see her this Sunday!
Security Team Leader: Lonnie Hatfield
We take security very seriously at NBWC. We have installed a state of the art security system to protect you and your family as you worship. Bro. Lonnie is the “go to” man for any security concerns. His ever watchful eye ensures you don’t have to worry about anything but how much you love God and your church family. His wonderful wife, Janie is one of our enthusiastic greeters. She also helps with coordinating dinners and other social functions.
Monticello Campus Pastor & Men’s Fellowship Coordinator: Sharon & Dale Hopson
Sharon Hopson is part of our worship team. In addition to that she serves as the Pastor of our Monticello campus church, which meets on Tuesdays @ 7pm and Saturdays @ 6pm. We say she is the lady preacher of Somerset because she can flat preach a sermon. Her husband, Dale is a wonderful asset to NBWC. He serves as the Men’s Fellowship Coordinator. The men have a breakfast every 2nd Saturday of the month at the church. He is also a minister and they have served several churches as Lead Pastors. They are also serving as greeters in the church.
Senior Ministry Coordinators: Barbara Morrow & Linda Savacchio
There is no other group in the church with more vigor and vitality than our seniors. NBWC recognizes the amazing contributions of this group of wonderful people. Under the direction of these able leaders the seniors take numerous trips each year together. Sis. Barbara is well known for her rowdy Christmas parties. Linda loves a party and has hosted several theme parties (Elvis was spotted at one.) If you are 55 or over you’ll never get bored at NBWC!
Sis. Cindy Ward has a heart for those who are facing incarceration. Her ministry strongly reflects her desire to serve the Lord by serving others. She has made important impacts on our community.
Prison/Jail Coorespondence Ministry: Michelle Martin-Adkins
Michelle has a heart for the lonely and often forgotten that are in the prison or jail system. She writes to many and they respond, in kind. This ministry has been so rewarding to both the sender and the receiver.
