We are so glad that you have visited our church website.
Our local church has been in operation for a very long time. In fact, we were part of the very first Church of God congregation in Kentucky. Our history is vast, and our heritage has been a solid building block to becoming what we are today. However, I am more excited about where we are now and where we are going.
The Spirit of the Lord has come in great power in our local church. We have seen souls receive Jesus. This is our heartbeat…the Gospel of Jesus. He is our hope in this hopeless generation. We have seen great miracles. We have seen phenomenal growth. Due to the increase, the church decided to build a new building. Our Thurman Rd. property is now open. This new location now houses our Multi-Purpose building which is situated on nearly 10 beautiful acres in Pulaski County, KY (Somerset). We have future plans to build a new sanctuary adjacent to our current building.
We are part of the Church of God of Prophecy. This denomination has a rich history. We are a Spirit-Driven congregation. We believe in the working of the Holy Spirit and the operation of His gifts in our lives. We are a church that loves people. We believe in the healing power of God for body, soul, and spirit. We believe in striving to live a holy and acceptable life before God. We are not hung up on how someone may dress or fix their hair, etc. We believe that the heart of a person that truly loves Jesus will be reflected in everything we do. We are not called to condemn but rather share the love of Jesus with everyone. We believe in worship. That means more than the style of music we have. It means personal praise that goes forth from a grateful heart. However, you will find that we try to sing songs that will touch the hearts of every generation of believers. You will find modern worship music, as well as southern gospel and other unique styles. We know God inhabits the praises of His people!
